Professional profile​

Mr Ismaiel has been practising Orthopaedic Surgery since 1980 and in the UK since 1988 having extensive experience in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery, obtaining an MSc degree with distinction on total elbow replacement.  Mr Ismaiel also holds a diploma in Biomechanics form Strathclyde University (Glasgow).

Mr Ismaiel is lead upper limb surgeon for the Trust with his work having a particular emphasis on Complex Elbow, Complex Hand and Shoulder Surgery along with Upper Limb Surgery.  In addition to this, Mr Ismaiel also undertakes Joint Replacements, Mainly Primary or Revision Elbow, Hip and Knee Replacements and Shoulder and Hand Surgery.

Trauma Surgery also constitutes major part of his daily workload and mainly undertakes complex trauma especially lower and upper limb (shoulder to fingers).

​

Mr Ismaiel regularly attend conferences and courses and is regularly involved in teaching different grades of doctors and medical students.
